RESPONSIBILITIES

• Leads team of dispatch staff, administration, and CDL drivers for the intended purpose of delivering product to customers.
• Coordinates inbound fruit, with help of the dispatch team, with the intention of maintaining raw product integrity until delivered to Receiving Department.
• Closely monitors CDL drivers and respective equipment to ensure that operational efficiency is optimized in a safe & compliant manner.
• Writes and implements policies with the intention of controlling and influencing driver behavior in order to reduce organizational risk.
• Administers periodic safety audits & provides driver instruction regarding safety.
• Works closely with insurance and law enforcement (when needed) regarding accidents and other possible safety incidents.
• Provide technical support to electronic logging & tracking systems.
• Investigate transportation – related customer complaints and issues that affect finished product delivery.
• Ability to manage 3rd party carriers and provide direction & instruction for handling shipments properly.
• Reduce Risk through compliance, safety, and efficiency.
• Construct and Manage practical Budget for reporting purposes.
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics or Business, or closely related field

Work Experience

• 5-10 years of logistical and/or operational experience
• Two or more years of leadership or management experience in logistics or related field
